Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz (Meretz) has decided that Israel will transfer 1.2 million coronavirus vaccine doses to the Palestinian Authority. The doses, manufactured by the Pfizer pharmaceutical company, will be transferred within the coming days, reports the Haaretz newspaper.Haaretz adds that the transfer is to be regarded as a loan, in place of the vaccine doses that Pfizer was supposed to deliver to the PA in the first quarter of 2022, as Horowitz wishes to ensure that the Palestinians will not experience any shortages in the meantime. When the doses originally intended for the PA arrive, Israel will take them instead.
