Italian flag carrier ITA Airways cancels service to and from Israel

<p>US President Donald Trump said on Monday, after his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin that it would be "great" to hold talks between Kyiv and Moscow at the Vatican.</p><p>Trump, describing the phone call, said he asked Putin: "When will we end this, Vladimir?" He added: "I think Putin has had enough, I believe he wants to stop. I have a red line in my head about when I'll stop pressing Russia and Ukraine, but I won't say what it is."</p>

<p>Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to claims by Democrats Chairman Yair Golan that Israel "kills babies" as a hobby.</p><p>"I strongly condemn Yair Golan's reckless incitement against our heroic soldiers and the State of Israel. The IDF is the most moral army in the world, and our soldiers are fighting in a battle for our very existence.</p><p>"Golan, who has encouraged refusal to serve and previously compared Israel to the Nazis while in uniform, has now reached a new low by claiming that Israel 'kills babies as a hobby.'</p><p>"While we are conducting a multi-front war and leading complex diplomatic efforts to free our hostages and defeat Hamas, Golan and his radical left allies echo the most despicable antisemitic blood libels against IDF soldiers and the State of Israel.</p><p>"There is no limit to this moral decay."</p>

<p>Opposition leader Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid) commented on Yair Golan's remarks: "Our soldiers are heroes and protect our lives. The statement that they kill babies as a hobby is mistaken and a gift to our enemies. I back the IDF and its soldiers and condemn the statement."</p>

<p>Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Monday night that the process for Moscow and Kyiv to develop a unified text of a peace and ceasefire memorandum will be complex, so there can be no fixed deadline. His comments came after US President Donald Trump said, "I have a red line in my head about when I'll stop pressing Russia and Ukraine, but I won't say what it is."</p><p>"There are no deadlines and there cannot be any. It is clear that everyone wants to do this as quickly as possible, but, of course, the devil is in the details," Peskov told reporters, adding, "The drafts will be formulated by both the Russian and Ukrainian sides, these draft documents will be exchanged, and then - complex contacts to develop a single text."</p>

<p>Arab media reported that the IDF carried out 10 strikes in the Daraj Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, as well as in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.</p><p>Additionally, it was reported that the IDF struck a house east of Khan Yunis and another house in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.</p>
