<p>The Knesset on Monday evening rejected the order to expand the VAT exemption on imported goods, as announced by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.</p><p>Minister Amichai Eliyahu and MK Limor Son Har-Melech from Otzma Yehudit voted against the measure. The following Likud MKs opposed the move as well: Yuli Edelstein, David Bitan, Eli Dallal, Sasson Guetta, Shalom Danino, Hanoch Milwidsky, Akram Hasson, and Osher Shkalim.</p>

The song itself, titled "Michelle," will be revealed for the first time next Thursday and was selected by a committee from around 200 submissions.

<p>Opposition leader Yair Lapid responded to the rejection of the VAT exemption expansion order for imported goods in the Knesset plenum.</p><p>"Netanyahu has no coalition, and his government is falling apart. He doesn't even control his own party. He and Smotrich were once again humiliated today in the plenum. We will continue to fight in the Knesset against the worst government in the history of the country," said Lapid.</p>
